Tennessee freshman pitcher Cat Hosfield had stars in her eyes at Lee Softball Stadium on Sunday.
Quite literally.
But Hosfield and the Lady Vols overcame their nerves to rally for a 10-7 win over a UT alumni team full of former All-Americans in front of a crowd of about 2,000. Full story »

The Tennessee softball team finished with a 50-win season and the No. 9 RPI in the nation after losing six starters from last year’s SEC championship team. The Lady Vols were in a rebuilding mode to be sure, having lost NCAA strikeout queen and U.S. Olympic team pitcher Monica Abbott among the departed players. Still, UT co-head coach Ralph Weekly left Lee Softball Stadium after Sunday’s season-ending 4-2 NCAA regional loss to Virginia Tech feeling disappointed.

Tennessee's Megan Rhodes said a technical adjustment in her pitching windup led to a mental adjustment Friday afternoon.
