Jigsha Desai has been with the News Sentinel since October 2002 — joining the organization as an online producer. She works with the online producers and other members in the newsroom to keep knoxnews.com updated with breaking news, witty blogs and compelling news videos and multimedia.

Jigsha, who is of Indian descent, grew up in Zambia, Africa, and moved to the United States in 1998. She became a U.S. citizen in June 2005 and now refers to herself as a Zambian-Indian-American.

Others refer to her as "the web goddess."
